The Print Grabber‚Ñ¢ XTension allows you to select and print any portion of a QuarkXPress document page. This unique tool saves both time and material cost by eliminating the need to print complete pages, making it ideal for document design and proofing purposes.
To specify the area of a page to print, use the Print Grabber tool to drag a Marquee around the desired area. This process is similar to creating a QuarkXPress text box. Print Grabber will automatically calculate the dimensions of the area and allow the user to adjust them before printing.

The selected area can be printed using the standard QuarkXPress print dialog, or can be exported as an EPS file as well. Print Grabber also lets you change your Page Setup values just by clicking a button.

The Print Grabber XTension can be used to print individual text or picture boxes as well. Just click once to activate the desired box, and select "Print Box..." from the QuarkXPress File menu. Print Grabber will print only those elements which are contained within the selected box area.

Page Range Warning
If your document contains more than a single page, then you must still enter the appropriate page range in the LaserWriter print dialog in order to print the marquee area only. Print Grabber determines which page the marquee area is on, and will let you know what page range to enter so that only the marquee (or box) area is printed (see dialog below):

If you do not specify the page range, Print Grabber will print the selected area from all pages of your document.
This option can be disabled via the Print Grabber Preferences dialog (described in the Preferences chapter). If this option is disabled, Print Grabber will not warn you of the page range, however, the correct page range must still be entered in the Laser Writer dialog box.
